The Whitsunday coast airport is the gateway to an iconic location and one of the main design features of the terminal upgrade is the floor.
The carpet has undulating micro pattern reflecting the vibrant colours and island waters of the barrier reef, the blending of two colours created the macro design adding a “way finding” element to direct passengers. This pattern is replicated in the departure lounge tile layout imitating the beach shoreline and the cafe finishes have a beach resort feel.
